Come join us for an hour of stories, songs, fingerplays, music/movement, hands-on activities, and snack. All children that attend will receive a copy of Who: 2,3,and 4 year olds When: Friday, October 21, 2011 Where: Room #508 (Learning Cottage) Time: 10:15 - 11:15 Please come out and enjoy this fun enrichment time for parents and preschoolers. Parents must remain with and supervise their children. Space is limited to 15 children so please call Summerville Elementary (873-2372) or stop by the office and reserve your spot. ![]() The Parent Child Home Program (PCHP)The Parent-Child-Home Program (PCHP) helps families overcome obstacles to educational success. A home visitor works with the parent and child once a week in their home. I bring educational toys and books for the child to keep, and I show the parent fun ways to help his or her child learn through play. This program is available to eligible families with children ages 2 and 3 years old.
Parenting Classes and WorkshopsA variety of different classes and workshops will be offered during the school year. Look for upcoming events that will be posted on this Web page and in the SES newsletter.
![]() SES Family Literacy ProgramSES Family Literacy provides parents the tools and resources needed to help their children succeed in school. We offer a variety of programs and services to families with children ages birth through 4 years old.
Sandra Hunter is the Family Literacy Coordinator with an office located in Cottage 508. Feel free to drop by or call SES for more information on any of our programs.
Dramatic DiscoveriesDramatic Discoveries is a parent/child workshop that is held once a month in room #508 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. This program is for children 2, 3, and 4 years of age. Come learn with your child the concepts of print and make props to help your child re-read the stories. Information concerning each Dramatic Discovery Workshop is provided in the SES Newsletter and on the SES Family Literacy Web site.
Parent Resource CenterThe Parent Resource Center , located in Cottage 508, is a lending library with a variety of items to be checked out and used at home. These resources include books, educational activities and games, DVD’s, CD’s, and books on various parenting topics..
